About

I write for a living and I love it. That pretty much sums it up.

But if you're looking for more ...

Thanks for visiting my portfolio site! I hope it's been fun.

I would love to tell you that I began my creative journey after leaving a career as a corporate-investment-quant-type turned urban farmer. But the truth is, I've been all about the narrative my whole life.

As a kid in elementary school, I looked forward to book reports and couldn't wait to enter my latest mini tour de force (or so I thought) in the Young Author's Conference. As a college student, I kept both Jekyll and Hyde satisfied by writing Jane Austen analyses and dreaming of the day when I could pen one of those a,b,c quizzes for my favorite women's- interest magazine.

Today, I focus primarily on strategic content direction and development for marketing and advertising clients. I love the agency life because it gives me a chance to do what I enjoy most: collaborate with artists and designers. I also keep a lifestyle blog centering on the topics of home and family life, personal style and (what else?) writing.

I live in Indianapolis with a pair of hounds, a husband and a seven-year-old K-Pop star. I exercise when I want to, camp when I can and generally try to keep things simple, honest and kind. I'm an Instagram delinquent and I'm trying to get better about that.
