Shidler College of Business
Shidler 60
Located in Hawaii, Shidler is the college of business administration at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Shilder approached the company I worked for at the time, Pacific Basin Communications, to create a custom publication honoring its 60th anniversary. The result was Shidler 60, which featured a timeline of important program milestones. One of my favorite parts of doing content development and writing for this project was sifting (digitally) through some of those vintage photos.

AIA Honolulu Chapter
AIA Design Awards
This publication served as the program for, and publication of, the annual design awards for the Honolulu chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Throughout this project, I interviewed award winners to better understand the intentionality of the buildings they created. I also handled content development and creative management of the entirety of this project.

Hawaiian Electric Company
Green Hawaii
As Editor-in-Chief of Hawaii Home + Remodeling magazine, I was fortunate to work on some very cool bonus projects. Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO)'s Green Hawaii was an annual favorite for seven years. As Hawaii's public utility, HECO is progressively committed to finding ways to move Hawaii into the age of alternative energy. Green Hawaii was 32-page mini magazine devoted to giving Hawaii readers hundreds of tips on how to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

Hawaii Energy Connection
Solar, Simplified
Hawaii Energy Connection (HEC) is one of the state's most reputable and longstanding Photovoltaic (PV) energy companies. HEC asked the team at Hawaii Home + Remodeling to create a publication designed to educate consumers on the benefits of PV. Because Hawaii pays the highest energy costs in the nation, PV is booming there, and everyone wants a piece of the action. In a sea of out-of-state companies offering "get solar quick" schemes, HEC is doing PV right. We were happy to support their efforts on this project.
